Life Connections Counseling
Find Your Voice. Find Your Way Forward.
Counseling for children, teens, adults, couples, and families who need someone to understand what's happening—and help them figure out what comes next.
You Don't Need a Diagnosis to Know Something Isn't Right.
People don't always come to counseling saying "I have generalized anxiety disorder." They say things like:
"I don't feel like myself anymore."
"My child is struggling and I don't know how to help."
"School has become a battle every single day."
"Something happened to me and I thought I'd be over it by now."
"We're a good family. We just can't seem to figure this out."
"My teenager won't talk to me."
"I'm exhausted from holding everything together."
"I don't know what I need. I just know I need something."
That's enough. We can start there.
You don't need to explain everything perfectly. You just need to reach out.
Care for Every Stage of Life
Wherever you are in life, whatever is making things hard right now — there's a place for you here.
Children
Kids don't always have the words to explain what is happening. Sometimes it comes out through behavior, anxiety, anger, shutting down, difficulty at school, sleep problems, meltdowns, or changes that leave parents wondering what happened. We meet children where they are and help them communicate, regulate, connect, and build skills in ways that make sense for their developmental level.
Learn moreTeens
Being a teenager can be complicated even when everything is going well. We support teens experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, identity concerns, school pressure, relationship problems, emotional regulation difficulties, family conflict, and the feeling that nobody really understands them. Therapy should be somewhere teens can actually be themselves.
Learn moreAdults
Sometimes you're functioning on the outside while struggling privately. We work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, relationship difficulties, major life transitions, ADHD, neurodivergence, stress, and the feeling that they've somehow lost themselves along the way. Therapy can be a place to understand what happened, reconnect with yourself, and find your voice again.
Learn moreCouples
Relationships can become stuck in patterns neither person intended to create. Couples counseling can help partners communicate differently, understand one another, rebuild connection, work through conflict, and decide what they want their relationship to become.
Learn moreParents
Sometimes parents don't need another parenting book. They need someone to help them understand their child. We work with parents navigating behavioral concerns, developmental needs, school struggles, and the exhaustion of not knowing what to do next.
Learn moreFamilies
Sometimes there isn't one person who needs to be fixed. The whole family is struggling. Family counseling helps families understand patterns, communicate differently, navigate change, strengthen relationships, and figure out what each person needs.
Learn moreFinding Your Voice Again After Trauma
Trauma can change how someone experiences themselves, relationships, safety, trust, and the world around them.
Sometimes trauma is one event. Sometimes it is years of experiences that taught someone to stay quiet, stay small, stay alert, take care of everyone else, or disconnect from what they needed.
Healing isn't about pretending something didn't happen. And it isn't about forcing someone to tell their story before they're ready.
Our therapists help people process what they've experienced, understand how it continues to affect them, develop safety and coping skills, reconnect with themselves, and begin finding their voice again.
When School Becomes the Hard Part of Childhood
Some children love learning but struggle with school. A child may be bright, creative, funny, curious, and capable—and still have an incredibly difficult time getting through the school day.
Instead of asking how do we make this child behave — we ask what is making this difficult for this child.
Your child isn't giving you a hard time simply because they want to. Sometimes they're having a hard time—and we need to understand why.
When appropriate, we help families understand their child's needs, develop strategies for home and school, communicate with school teams, and better understand supports such as 504 Plans and IEPs.
We work with children experiencing
When You Love Each Other but Don't Know What to Do Anymore
Families can love each other deeply and still get stuck.
Parents may disagree about what a child needs. Siblings may be struggling. Everyone may be exhausted. A child's mental-health or developmental needs may begin affecting the entire household.
A family may be adjusting to divorce, grief, trauma, a diagnosis, a move, a blended family, adolescence, or another major transition.
"We've tried everything."
We believe them.
Family counseling isn't about finding the person who is causing the problem. It is about slowing things down enough to understand what is happening between people—and helping the family find a different way forward.
Different Doesn't Mean Broken.
Life Connections welcomes autistic people, people with ADHD, and other neurodivergent children, teens, and adults.
Our goal is not to make someone appear more normal. We want to understand how their brain works, what is genuinely difficult for them, what supports they need, what strengths they have, and what would make everyday life work better.
Social skills should help people connect—not teach them to hide who they are.
Emotional regulation should provide tools—not demand compliance.
Therapy should help people understand themselves—not teach them that they are the problem.
Sometimes Talking Isn't the Best Way to Talk.
Children—and plenty of adults—don't always communicate best sitting across from someone answering questions.
Therapy should fit the person. We shouldn't expect every person to fit the therapy.

What We Want Therapy to Feel Like
Heard.
Understood.
Safe enough to be honest.
Supported without being judged.
Challenged when you need it.
Allowed to be yourself.
You aren't a diagnosis walking into our office. You're a person. And before we decide where we're going, we want to understand where you've been.
We Work With the Whole Person
We work with a wide range of concerns—without making you feel like a checkbox on a list.
Don't see exactly what you're experiencing? Call us. Human beings rarely fit perfectly into a list.
You Don't Have to Have Everything Figured Out Before You Call.
Maybe you know exactly what you need. Maybe you're not even sure where to begin. Either way, we can start with a conversation.
Tell us what's happening. We'll help you figure out what comes next.
Reach Out. We'll Take It From Here.
You don't need to know exactly what to say. Just tell us what's been happening — with you, your child, your family, or your relationship. We'll help figure out the rest.
No perfect words required
Just tell us what's going on. We'll ask the right questions.
